Adrian gets his answer from Irons on January move

AdrianAdrian will have to sweat it out at West Ham until the summer after making it clear he wants out of the London Stadium.

With the World Cup in Russia beckoning the 30 yeareold is desperate for first team football after again being pushed onto the sidelines for the second successive season.

And the club knew for some time he was unhappy after signing a to year extension before he spoke out to a Spanish radio station today declaring that he needed to move on to keep his international dream alive.

He said: “The coach is not giving me much ball this year, but the data is there. It only remains to fight.

“Without playing, I repeat the call with the Spanish team disappears.

“The market will be reopened and an agreement must be reached because I am not happy in this situation.”

But the club can offer him very little hope of getting a move in January or doing a loan deal which could see them swap keepers with another club.

ClaretandHugh was told it would be very difficult  to move him and that it was unlikely the club would be looking at the goalkeeping situation until next summer.

  1. I think its naive to believe that we can force him to stay if he wants to go. He’s not the best keeper in the world but he is certainly good enough to get a start elsewhere at a similar level.

  2. Whilst I believe Adrian is too good to be a back up , West Ham need to be presented with a better option than simply letting him go….

If a Spanish is looking for a loaner in the window, then maybe, but what happens in the summer, when Hart decides to move on and Adrian is sold???

  3. Hart aint sticking about he dont give a **** about west ham. Adrian made some mistakes but saved our arses on many occasions people have short memories.

  4. Never really understood the Hart decision, sure Adrian can be a little ‘exciting’ at times but he is a decent keeper and was not our no. 1 problem by any means. Hart is just on loan people….
