Allardyce: Let’s move on

AllardyceSam Allardyce has made it clear that Saturday’s match against Southampton is just a memory and “out of the way.”

In a weekly e mail to supporters he said: ” I always think it’s best to get things said quickly, in the dressing room.

“Let’s get it out the way. Let’s tell the truth. Let’s get back in on Monday, clear our heads and get going for the match against Hull City away. “

He again expressed that the Irons produced a poor performance declaring: “It wasn’t what we expected.

“The players have to remember as much as they have been praised for Crystal Palace and Tottenham, two huge, huge performances, in both of those games, they have to take the good with the bad.

“We’re all in it together, I’ll accept my part of it and take responsibility. “

He believes that returning players could make a big difference saying that the likes of Carl Jenkinson, Matt Jarvis and James Collins will hopefully be back from injury for Hull.

He added: “I am hoping nobody gets injured over the international break and the squad that we can select for Hull City will be much bigger than the one we had on Saturday.

“I am delighted with the signing of Alex Song, he will add quality and experience to the squad and will bring out the best in the other players.”
