Allardyce unsure on transfer target

Sam Allardyce is some way from being convinced – seemingly – that Darren Fletcher will join the Irons!

The Hammers boss is known to be the driving force behind the bod to bring the 30 year old to the club but has let it be known it may well not happen.

According to Sky Sports Allardyce admitted that he has spoken to Fletcher’s agent but still has no idea as to where he’ll end up.

The manager is reported to have said: “I don’t know whether he will come to be honest. It’s in Darren’s hands. I haven’t spoken to him. I’ve spoken to his agent.”

He added: “He’s got quite a few clubs interested in him so when he makes his mind up everyone will know. I don’t know what the timeline is. If any of the other packages offered to him are accepted then we would accept that.”

Allardyce is not prepare to wait into this week for a decision and has said that they “can’t wait forever”, especially as the Hammers look to bolster a squad considered one of the favourites for this year’s FA Cup following a string of upsets over the weekend.

  1. Cant wait for ever .. strange comment seeing as the window shuts in a few days.

  2. Why are the Davids letting useless do any business? He hopefully won’t be here after May so the Davids should stick to the young player policy and them buying the players.
