I’m beyond being angry!
Watching a West Ham United team play as it did this afternoon was nothing short of heart breaking.
Once upon a time West Ham United and ‘pass and move’ were a given. There was no other way in the world this club would consider playing. Today we are the Bolton Wanderers of the south.
What’s worse is that you are the architect of this situation yet in the press conference you appeared to try identifying with fans who have been served up with some of the worst football in this club’s 119 year history.
You said: “I always have sympathy [with the fans] but the fact is that I’m as frustrated as they are and I don’t want to see my team lose, particularly when we’re playing at home.”
Frustrated Sam? Are you sure? That’s hardly the word most of us would use and given you are paid £2 million a year to provide football that doesn’t frustrate I’m not sure you have the right to go there.
Actually pal we’re not frustrated …we’re sick with worry that we won’t win another game this season and may yet be relegated.
We’re scared silly that we will never see a West Ham team play to the traditions of this great club while you are in charge.
We are sick of watching long passes disappearing over the touchline instead of arriving at feet.
We are fed up to the back teeth with seeing possession surrendered, balls hit straight to the opposition and then listening to you blame one man for all the problems – today it was Pablo Armero’s turn.
We’re sick of being told what decisions we should have got and reminded of those that went against us.
Don’t try to identify with us…your ways are your ways. West Ham’s ways are their ways and in my view the two aren’t a match.
You made much of the fan reaction this afternoon and none of it was good so in closing, may I ask one simple question.
Do you think you are really cut out for us and equally, us for you? Perhaps it’s time to look at yourself and ask one simple question of yourself: ‘Is it time to move on,” because you know what (?), this situation may actually be down to you.’

I agree with your sentiments but, and it’s a big but – we are where we are so who would you replace him with?
I was one of those clamouring for him to go in January but I had no clue who I wanted to come in.
The problems run deep, we’ve got a poor selection of players who play poor football (originally I had another word in that sentence instead of ‘poor’ but decided against using it!)
What we need is a new selection of players and that is just not going to happen, therefore we’re stuck with this rubbish for the foreseeable future.
I’ve been asked for £880 for the privelege of watching this rubbish next year and I’m thinking seriously whether I can be bothered!

Completely agree with your letter to Sam. The only thing you’ve missed out is the lack of Plan B. How many times is Allardyce going to keep playing one big man up front with one or two useless wingers who don’t provide a good enough service most of the time, and a midfield that lies too deep to be able to feed off the scraps Carroll produces? Defences have worked out how to defend against Carroll but Sam doesn’t seem to have worked out that they’ve worked it out!
