Andy Carroll suffers malicious false rumours

Andy Carroll has suffered malicious false rumours on social media in how he has suffered his latest injury blow.

Verified Instagram and Twitter accounts are falsely claiming the 29-year-old West Ham striker ruptured his ACL after falling off a balcony in Switzerland while sneaking back into his hotel room after curfew.

Club insiders have confirmed the rumour is 100% fake and there no element of truth whatsoever.

Claret and Hugh understand that Carroll has been experiencing discomfort in his ankle for some time and we are told he felt further discomfort after Sunday’s game in which he played 45 minutes scoring one goal and missing a penalty. He was sent for a scan which revealed he needs minor surgery to provide more strength and stability to the area which is likely to keep him out for up to 4 months.

Carroll watched the England v Croatia game with the West Ham squad in Switzerland on Wednesday night before flying back to London on Thursday for treatment.

  1. Either way joined August 2012 on loan
Six years later 114 games played = 19 games per year.- many as sub or when ‘on way back’.
Already out until October this year (at best).
To contemplate he could be sold is fantasy. Better to cancel contract and free up wages

    • no point Jonny we wouldn’t be freeing any wages up unless he was willing to take half a years salary as a pay off which is unlikely, just let him see out his contract if we get 10 games out of him this season it may help,

  2. But for heavens sake don’t let the facts get in the way of another malicious story.

  3. It really does not matter how he did it the fact remains the same, he is again injured and even if we wanted to sell him we couldn’t. We can’t play him, we can’t sell him, as Jonny says let’s cancel his contract; he is of no use to us.

  4. if he’s been experiencing discomfort in his ankle for some time then why didn’t they get it sorted then instead of waiting a month before the new season starts to get it sorted.
