Antonio: ‘Another day – another game plan!’

Antonio2Michail Antionio has called on the crowd to turn up the volume as we head into our second London derby in five days.

The Hammer of the Year is ready for action after running himself into the ground against Chelsea and declared: “The fans will have another important role to play – to make sure we can really hear them!”

And he added: “I think we set the bar against Manchester City. We showed we can press and can be in a game against the best. They are top of the league by eleven points and we’ve held them until 80-odds minutes. We showed our resiliency and then we’ve gone and beat the Champions.

“We’ve set the bar and we don’t want to drop the standards below it. We believe we can go out there, and as long as we have the work-rate, the fans are behind us, we can do it.”

“It’s not about what they do, it’s about what we can do to them. That’s exactly the thing we were concentrating on against City and what we were thinking about against Chelsea.

“Everything we thought we could do to them, it worked for us, so we will have our game plan against Arsenal and we think it will work for us.”

  1. Arsenal have the right to be worried ; Their very Last Game at Highbury : West Ham beat them . …… Thier very First Game at the Emirates : West Ham beat them .
West Hams very first Game at ( Os ) London Stadium we beat them .
If I was a Arsenal fan I would be Shi*ing myself . , especially as now the Hammers are looking good .
    COYHAMMERS .

    • We did not beat them last season, they hammered us 5-1 at the LS if I recall.

    • Haha a few mistakes there Kev. We were the last away team to win at Highbury and the first away team to win at The Emirates. On top of that, they beat us 5-1 at stratford as Thaughwaits pointed out.

  2. Hugh – is there any truth behind the rumours that Reece Oxford will be sold?
