Bilic delivers his United verdict

Antonio set for Southampton return

Slaven Bilic conducted the quickest presser of his West ham managerial reign after the game with it lasting just two minutes thirty seconds as he tried to digest a shocking result.

He said: “We aren’t going to forget about this game in a hurry. We need to analyse it. It was a very bad result for us.  They were much better than us, better with the ball and without the ball. The first couple of goals were conceded from our mistakes but we were alright until the first goal.”

He added: “We put a decent team out today but I expected more. It shouldn’t affect our confidence, but it will. We are very low at the moment.”

He said that Mikey Antonio was likely to be back for the game against Southampton and snapped: We need to pick ourselves up and prepare us for the second game of the season.

It was the same old excuses as last season and I expect we’ll hear them again many times this season. The Spanish waiter at newcastle sounds fed up and I would not be surprised if he walks to West ham before October.

Would like that and what I was going to ask. I like Bilic as a person but I don’t tink he can take us to top 8 has shown he is a 1 season wonder.
Rafa’s players die for him and he is Unhappy.
Should our next signing be Rafa if wait till December be too late? I know its earlier but….
On here If we could get Rafa in for our Manager would you have him.over Bilic?

I assume that you don’t count last season with the heavy defeats, the half empty stadium where fans can just not take any more, the non performances of many players, the seemingly lack of motivation, tactics and lack of subs when things are clearly wrong. No its more than one game. Its the manner that we play – no fight. Look at the likes of Watford and Hull last season…. at least they fight for their club.

It’s one match, sometimes a shock to the system like that is the perfect start. I am keen to see how the players react in the next game, Noble shouldn’t be anywhere other than the bench it’s time for Rice to take over and Sakho should be in place of Ayew who looks low on confidence.
