Bilic departure confirmed

|

bilicBesiktas president Fikret Orman has today confirmed that head coach Slaven Bilic will leave at the end of the season.

“We will part on good terms, the new manager will be a name nobody can dispute. He will be the architect of our future success to take us to the next level in our new stadium,” Orman told the Hürriyet.

Bilic will remain in charge for the Istanbul derby against Galatasaray on Sunday and also the final game of the season against Gençlerbirliği.

Bilic odds as next West Ham manager with bookmakers have shortened in recent days after rumours that favourite Rafa Benitez will turn down the Hammers in favor of Real Madrid. Sky Bet currently have Benitez are 3/1 while Bilic is priced at 7/2.  Rival bookmakers Bet Victor have Benitez and Bilic as joint favourites at 5/2. Benitez was an odds on favorite until a few days ago. David Moyes has now slipped out as much as 10/1 with some bookies.

So Benitez is rumoured to be going to Real Madrid after all. Which means Klopp won’t go there. Rumours also has it that Emery (Seville manager) is flying in today to discuss a deal with West Ham.
Which would leave us with Bilic, Emery, Klopp or Bielsa as new manager.
All a definite step up with potential to take us to the proverbial next level.
As I simply don’t trust Allardyce further than I could throw him which is about 25 centimetres.
No matter what he might promise our board to do next season, playing with three strikers, introducing a bonus system where every player gets additional payments if he scores from thirty yards out or from a volley or bicycle kick, I simply wouldn’t trust him.
Allardyce would somewhere during the season ALWAYS return to his safety first respect the point 20% possession kind of football.
Hopefully that’ll all be over on Monday.

He will be gone come Monday, his backroom staff are leaving and he has given up his flat in Canary Wharf, all good signs, so don’t worry Sam is history, hooray COYI

    Klopp *fingers crossed*

  • bubs says:

Emery is my outside bet and would suit us as a club,
Bilic or Biesla will do if Emery does not take the job.
Klopp not interested but if he was he would be my second choice

For me Bilic is becoming the best candidate. First and foremost he is available and we are not hanging on the decision of another club. Obviously he know the club and that affiliation as we have seen is very important. He is the type of manager who can work with what he is given rather than having to have a big budget. That’s what bothers me about Benitez. He has not managed in the PL but he has played in it so he knows the pace/passion. He is young and I can see him sticking around whereas I think Benitez will always be looking elesewhere ie Liverpool.

Haven’t heard yet that Klopp would not be interested. So far he hasn’t committed to any club, and I understand that he wiill simply check out all the offers coming in for him and then decide who to start negotiating with.
If Real are out of the eqúation which potential clubs does it leave for Klopp ?
Man City ? Liverpool ? Fenerbahce or Besiktas ? Napoli ?
We may not be top of his list, but I still reckon our Premier League/London/OS/Project combination might just appeal to Klopp.
If not we are in with a good shout for Bilic, Emery or Bielsa.
All good choices in my book.

Just come join us Slaven.Put me out of my misery. If i read one more comment from people questioning whether someone is an ‘upgrade’ on hippo i will cry.Upgrade,ffs.Guys who have won trophies, titles, managed their countries, lead teams through successful european campaigns. But are they an ‘upgrade’ on Hippohead.Errr, yes, believe it or not there are other managers on this planet who can bring us success or keep us up other than bloody Allardyce!

  • Chickenrunner says:

They look for any excuse for any candidate, try to find reasons to dismiss them Ty.They are closet Sammerettes, scared of change, wetting their pants that Stable Sam might be going.Lame guys,They think everything will come crashing down without BFS.Their wives probably still do their shoelaces for them because mummy used to do it & they cant get it out of their systems.Hippo is their comfort blanket, they cant handle a brave new world 😀

  • Stuck On 99 Forever! says:

Lmao, can i join you crying Tyson.I am sick of reading this upgrade, relegation stuff. We have had two turgid season apart from a couple months. Were in the **** last year, have been in relegation form now for the last 5 months & people are worried that people might not be a good replacement, upgrade on Allardyce. What drugs are these people on.Have they all been brainwashed into submission by Sams pr stunts in the media or maybe it is the **** football he turns out has sent them into some sort of trance, lol

  • Rads says:

Dont forget the no premiership experience either.Another excuse used for them to wet their pants about a candidate.Lets keep Hippo & he can have us down near the bottom next season but its ok because he has prem experience:D

  • StingRay Stewart says:

Yep,no Klopp pls,no Prem experience,No Bilic, same,De Boer,no chance,no prem experience. What an absolute load of crap. Some people treat these managers like totally mugs. They do them a disservice, especially when comparing them to a prehisistoric manager like Allardyce.Yes the Prem is a tough league but these guys are no fools 😉

    Be glad when its settled.,
