Bilic prepares Toon triple whammy

mosesSlaven Bilic looks set to unleash his three new boys against Newcastle next Monday.

With so much excitement in the transfer window it’s deeply frustrating to be travelling through an international break.

And it’s even annoying to have to wait until after next weekend before having a possible chance to assess the impact our new signings may have on the Premier League.

However, we have reports that Nikicia Jelavic, Mchail Antonio, and Victor Moses (above) are all fit and training with the first team squad.

David Gold – in reporting the news – told ClaretandHugh: “It’s very exciting. The three are looking sharp and with Andy Carroll set to be available we finally look to be over several of our problems.

“We can’t wait for the Newcastle game.”

  1. I cant wait for it too, but I team shape and defensive resilience is more important than flooding the team with new players ( even though it would give us extra momentum. )
I believe in new players having to force their way into the team, and I suspect most of them will have to.
How do you explain to Lanzini that he is no longer needed in the team after the game he had at Liverpool?
How do you explain to Sakho that Jelavic is better than him, or that his fantastic efforts this season are not good enough?
We have a good team and a better squad than last season, and they will all get their chances, but right now we should concetrate on getting our strategy at home 100% right.

  2. The only good news is we have cover come the dreaded African Cup, I feel that Bilic will stay loyal to players in form, you can’t just drop them for a name, one coming back from injury needs to come off the bench if needed late on, not straight in opening line up for me.

  3. Totally agree fishes, I can’t see any of the three starting for those reasons. I expect we may see one or two of them in the later stages. (Hopefully when we are a couple of goals to the good) You can not or should not change a winning team anyway.
Excuse my ignorance guys, but I only patronise this site, so could someone explain to me who ‘Wetpants’ is ? Ta!

  4. A lit of posters on here call ‘westhamtilidie.com ‘wetpants’. A name often fitting to the site. Mostly light hearted though 😀
Imho Jelavic knows his place is on the bench & won’t be a starter unless injuries force the issue. A good impact player for the last 25mins or so.

  5. Wow,i thought Wetpants was world famous, lol. They are alright this weekend though,no match=no dribbles or floods 😀

  6. I am not in a hurry. The longer Bilic has to work with and assess the new players and the existing team, the better. He can hopefully address the appalling defensive mistakes at home, develop a more successful home strategy. I do think Bilic is a clever and tactical guy and with more time, can weave some magic. I am concerned where the new guys will fit in e.g. I think we have only has glimpses of how brilliant Lanzini can be. He could be dynamite. I am also liking Tomkins at right back…but shhhh…I didn’t say that, did I?

  7. Well done lads for clearing up the ‘Wetpants’ issue.I had no clue who it was but didnt want to ask, haha.Yes i know the site, they can be rather dramatic on there.I also dont know what ‘OT’ means on there,i find many mysteries both on here & there.’Wetpants’,’OT’,all very confusing 😀

  8. No way Bilic should change the side that beat Liverpool !!!!!
They should all be given that opportunity !!!!
Then if necessary make changes !!!!!!

Everyone now needs to be on their toes !!!!!!!
    Good init !!!
    COYI !!!!!S

    • I’d rather see Kouyatie and Noble playing behind Payet in a 4-2-3-1. I would also play Lanzini instead of Moses because he played so well last week.

  10. But we don’t have a winning team at home – we have a shambles. We win away playing on the counter attack, we can’t do that home. I think we will start with Antonio to give us more width. Sakho needs help, that’s why we bought the players we have.

  11. But Jenkinson won’t be playing at home and the midfield and defenders now know how the system works,
Don’t break a winning side up last time we did we lost 2 on the blob
Let players earn there starting place,if we are drawing or loosing in the second half make the changes or if one player is not playing well the same,
Wet pants is famous Ramsey goes there for his new recipes can’t wait for the first book to come out WETPANTS WHILE YOU COOK NICE ,nice ring to it
