West Ham fans have been reacting to images and video of the Boleyn Ground being blown up in controlled explosions of the Hollywood action film Final Score. Many supporters believe the destruction has been disrespectful while others have found the images heartbreaking.
A sample of comments on twitter include:
@MartinHickey9 Sad Sad Day
@rickhimself101 It’s like leaving there wasn’t enough, they need to do that too!
@HaddonEvents Criminal, they have sold our soul and now they gleefully post pictures of our home being blown up.
@Tillroll78 I’m sure the board earned nice bit of money out of that. Sold us down the river
@Spirit_1980 just heartbreaking
@Ironviews Can’t help but feel deeply disturbed watching videos of Upton Park getting blown up.
@KUMBDotcom Maybe it’s just me, but I feel this is bordering on sacrilege…
@Verge_Walton Trying to sell me MY site for £50 was bad enough. But blowing it up?!?Terrible PR (again) and disrespectful.
Does anyone know if the game is being streamed live tonight ? as everyone bar us seems to be
Jesus we have got some drama queens support us.
No live coverage from any TV company hence no live streams
Totally over the top reactions, not to mention ignorant – the site is now owned by Galliard Homes, so how the board can be blamed for this is beyond me.
I despair of some of the over reaction of some fans we have on topics.It is hardly desecration of a war grave or something similarly far more important.They need to get a grip & be shaken back in to the real world imo.
At last some comments that hit the mark.
Its only a bloody movie, get over it you big wooses.
