  1. I think one of the good things to come from the weekend was how poor a lot of the teams are surrounding us, it is a relegation race, WBA are very poor and I think Pullis will be gone soon, hopefully he will stay out of work for the rest of the season at least in the PL and WBA should ensure he goes on gardening leave to stop him keeping someone else up. Palace may be a little better organised now but they still look poor, Swansea are in worse shape than us and if we can beat our relegation rivals that might just be enough, a lot will depend on who Moyes can sign in the transfer window, lets hope another centre forward can come in as well as the much needed defensive players.

  2. There are still teams above us that could come & join in the fun No 32. A lot of mediocre teams below bottom 6 as usual. But we don’t look as if we can beat anybody much at the mo. You still need to get 10 wins plus a few draws. It is not as if we have shown any promise all season. Can’t score & worst defence- not a good combination. At least Swansea can defend. It may be too late by January, although I agree if ( big if) we can get the right players in there is hope.

There is still a long way to go but I have a feeling the Football Gods are dishing out a lesson to G&S for what the banner said yesterday (was it ‘lies & deceit?’) Trouble is we go down with them. Seems unfair…

  3. I do not think we will see any noticeable difference in the playing ability of the team until some new faces are bought in January then perhaps, if they have the right attitude, they may lift some of the original team to peform better & hopefully we can pick up enough points to stay. Up

  4. Pulis can’t have been sacked. Albion have onlly been complete rubbish for two months. I know they had a bad end of season once they were safe last year, but I would settle for that now. Don’t they listen to all that Sullivan tripe about the ‘morality’ of keeping to a contract…until it is too late & then you forget about the morality after all.

  5. It has gotten even harder to get out of Championship then last time we where there. Think staying up is easier then going down & getting promoted. I don’t think it is something especially w LS will be good at all so u would hope the board will give money to spend.
But is having money to spend the only problem NO I do t think we will have to spend it right.
Where as of late we have bought players for names & positions w no idea of how to fit them in the team. Team being the word, I actually agree with Barton he said this morning that we have good individuals but not a team.
Supposedly Moyes will have some money to spend but has to be Smart. I’m not sure Carvalho at £40m fixes us might help but might not have the pace. Who knows.
This January is one the Moyes Henry & the board need to get right.

And no offense I know there are a lot of Hart fans Pundits & Fans a like. But for what he cost I don’t see it & to me Adrian is just as good/better keeper he may not scream as much. But of we could cash in & get a younger #2 in Jan I would & use that money elsewher .£15m plus for a year loan & we let our squad go thin to finance this wages. BC Feggo & Nord were to expensive at £45k but never bought back up.
So January let’s hope they get it right.

  6. I would get Dendoncker instead of Carvalho.

  7. I just checked on Oddschecker – Swansea are at 2/5, Palace 4/5, Huddersfield 13/8, West Ham 2/1 and West Brom at 9/4 – it’s going to be a hard, hard Season!

Oh, and our Goal Difference is -14.

Leicester on Friday night could be ugly!
