Bookies slash odds of a West Ham relegation

Bookies have slashed the odds for West Ham to be relegated from the Premier League this season with prices as short as 2/1 with most bookmakers. West Brom are odds-on favourites for the drop at 1/66 while Stoke are also odds-on at 4/6 to be relegated.

If the bookies are right then the third relegation place is up for grabs from either Crystal Palace, Southampton, Huddersfield, Swansea or West Ham.

Southampton is third-favourites for the drop at 15/8 closely followed by West Ham at 2/1 but that could all change on the outcome when we play each other in a six-pointer on 31st March at the London Stadium.

Crystal Palace is the surprising fifth favourites despite being third from bottom already in the drop zone and losing three games in a row, fifteenth place Huddersfield are also 5/2 to be relegated.  Swansea are 4/1 to be relegated while Newcastle are 14/1 outsiders for the drop.

  1. So the odds shorten when you lose games & go down the table but lengthen if you win. Who would have thought that.
