Byram leaves London Stadium on crutches

ByramIt was a very nervy ending at the London Stadium on Saturday as Swansea City desperately searched for an equaliser to aid their Premier League survival.

In the dying minute of injury time, there was an outpouring of passion and emotion when Sam Byram blocked Gylfi Sigurdsson’s effort and managed to win a goal kick.

Hammers team-mates surrounded Byram to celebrate his block as if he had scored a goal, with captain Mark Noble particularly pleased for the young right back, who was criticised for a poor game against Arsenal last week.

Unfortunately, its appears that Sam Byram could be another injury casualty. He was seen limping at one point during the game and looked like it wouldn’t be able to carry on but he appeared to push through the pain barrier and carried on until the bitter end.

He was sadly pictured leaving the London Stadium on crutches which might give doubt for his involvement in Sunderland this weekend.
