Andy Carroll believes his amazing strike against Crystal Palace is the best goal he has ever scored.

Big Andy struck with an amazing scissor kick to make the score two nil after Sofiane Feghouli had opened the scoring with a tap in and Manu Lanzini added a brilliant third.

Ac said immediately after the game: “I was determined to score today.

“Michail Antonio has played a great ball in just behind me. I hit one in training in the week and hit the post.

“I thought I’d give it another go and it’s gone in and I’m happy. It’s been a while in the making – I’ve been trying for a couple of years. It’s got to be the best goal I’ve scored.”
