Carroll ignores Sam’s advice

|

CarrollallardyceAndy Carroll has controversially dismissed Sam Allardyce’s advice that he calms his game down!

The manager has said that a series of injuries should ensure  that he drops the full-blooded hell for leather approach and go only for balls he’s sure of getting.

But in an interview with the Newcastle Chronicle, he said: “I think I’ll still go in for them all. I am going to go for everything. I give it my all every time.”

Allardyce commented previously: “I think he is so brave and fearless that I fear that some of the injuries actually come from that.

“He doesn’t fear any situation. But sometimes he goes into those areas with no fear and it can be a little dangerous in terms of injuries.

“I think that with experience, you just know what you can win and what you definitely might not be able to win. That might steer him clear of an injury or two that might occur. I think Andy has got to manage himself.”

Carroll though appears to have made it clear he will not be taking a more cautious style from now on, though, and he will be hoping that his committed performances impress Allardyce.

Two things here, the injuries were his ankle not his head area and secondly doesn’t he realise that Sham is a genius ?

Well, that was a constructive post Rugbyirons.

As a West Ham supporter like me wouldnt you agree that it would be tremendous if Andy came back strong and stayed fit and proved that he is worth the £18m that we paid for him? I happen to believe he might, but even if you don’t share my optimism then surely you want him to become the best no 9 in the Prem. at West Ham, under Sam for the next 4 years, he just might do that.
