Carroll mural adorns London Stadium

A new Andy Carroll mural has now erased all trace of the previous Frenchman who used to play for us. The silhouette of Carroll scoring his famous London Stadium overhead goal includes a number of social media quotes.

‘Goal of the season’ says one simple message while while it quotes a fan called Noel on Facebook  saying ‘Goal of the week, goal of the month, goal of the year! Best goal ever.’

Owen on Instagram is quoted ‘The best overhead kick I’ve ever seen in terms of accuracy and power’ while another Instagram user is quoted as saying ‘I could just watch this over and over, it was an honour being at that game being able to eye-witness that goal’

Finally they quote former Hammer on twitter saying “Have my crown…..that made mine look like a tap in!!”

The club has also removed the giant French man’s shirt which was installed for his Hammer of the year award. This has not been replaced at present.

  1. The place has been cleansed,
Well done big man, injuries or not your the nuts for us.⚒

  2. Slaven ; Please stop telling us we shall remember Payet as one of our Greats . He never was and never shall be . He was not here long enough to warrant such a claim . We have had better players than him and we have better players than him and we shall continue to have better players than him . If you have a reality check Payet probably cost us games with his attitude . Important players were played out of position to ACCOMMODATE him .
How Can a player be considered one of our greats when we are playing better without him ?.. he had a few talented moments but , apart from that he did no more than any other player . In fact he did far less than his star billing warranted .
