David Moyes on Marko Arnautovic

MarkoDavid Moyes was asked by reporters about the verbal exchange between Mark Hughes and Arnautovic on the touchline.

Moyes replied: “I didn’t think there was anything in it. Marko was coming off the pitch, I don’t know what Mark Hughes said, I was so concentrated on the game and getting the result. Marko had put in a performance and played well and I have no problems with what he did.”

Asked about Marko’s goal celebration in front of his former club He slid on his knees and went to the side, he didn’t do anything out of order. Not at all.”

Asked about his view of Arnautovic as a manager Moyes added: “We have only been here a short time so I am maybe not the best person to ask about that. Mark Hughes will know much more about the player than I do.

But, all I can say is since he’s been with us he has been very good. I have watched Stoke a lot and he played well for them too. He has worked hard, got a few goals, should have had a few more so overall, we are very content with him.”

“I think Marko has always been capable of the performances. A bit of hard love at times with him but he has been good, the supporters have taken to him because of his performances.

I think the supporters warm to you when your effort is big and people can see you putting it in, it turns people around” quickly. Marko, with his effort and coupled with his technical ability, make him a crowd favourite at the moment.”
