Davids back tough guy Slav on pay-off

Morgan+Amalfitano+West+Ham+United+v+Liverpool+CswSINzPf6RlEXCLUSIVE

West Ham tonight showed their total support for Hammers boss Slaven Bilic when paying off Morgan Amalfitano’s contract and waving the Frenchman goodbye.

The Irons board acted quickly this evening to back their boss after Bilic made it clear there was no way back into the club for the player under his management.

ClaretandHugh was told exclusively by a high level source: “The club  decided to pay him an undisclosed sum which whilst costing them has released cash off the wage bill for deals in the January window.”

Bilic banished Amalfitano to the Development Squad soon after the squad returned from the summer break after the player  had missed a team meeting. Bilic later claimed the player had given him “attitude.”

With the stand-off continuing between the pair, ClaretandHugh was told: “There was no way back for him. Slaven wanted him out and that was that. He would not back off and the board supported him

“Amalfitano was paid off. There is no other club involved. Slav was not budging on it.”

  1. In Slav we trust.

  2. Amalfitano was a square peg in a round hole. He just never fitted in. Never was a team player & never will be. Good to see Bilic cut the rope.

  3. Disagree Ohihord, he was/is a team player but that said I believe in the manager so 100% he should have the last word and if Morgon wasn’t ready to back down then there is only one winner.. Hope the lad gets a club away from the Premiership as not to come back and haunt us..

  4. Most managers make an example of someone when they arrive at a new club. Im not shedding any tears for him, he had a few good games for us but often looked disinterested + he banked more green in one day than ill ever see if i live to 200 years old

  5. At last a manager who is in control and stands no bull s..t. However still don’t know what Amal did wrong !

  6. Faaaaaaark him l say it’s Slavs way or da highway it’s simple, l admit being dubious of Slav at first but u know wat they say the proof is in da pudding. And we can all smell wat the Slav is a coooooooooooking!!!!! COYI

  7. The Daily Mail is saying this morning that Amalfitano has been paid £1.8million for the last eighteen months of his Contract.

  8. Showed flashes of brilliance and flashes of temperamental selfish stupidity in short surprised contract was extended and not surprised the way it has ended.
