Double injury blow for Irons

|
David Gold’s hopes that Andy Carroll will be involved in Sunday’s game at Backburn Rovers have been dashed with the striker ruled out with yet another injury.
This time it’s an abductor injury whilst, according to Head Medic Stijn Vandenbroucke, Enner Valencia won’t make it as he suffered an ankle injury against Norwich.
However, Manuel Lanzini has returned to training and will be available to play a part in Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Blackburn Rovers. Stijn also reports: “Winston Reid and Diafra Sakho will both return to training with the squad on Monday if this week’s rehab progresses as planned.Winston has a good chance to be available for the  visit of Sunderland on 27 February, while Diafra has been out for a longer period so he needs more training days.Unfortunately, two players suffered injuries in the 2-2 draw at Norwich City on Saturday and will not be available for Sunday’s trip to Ewood Park.

Enner Valencia suffered a right ankle injury in a tackle during the second half and came off, while Andy Carroll injured his abductor.”

Carroll injured again. Snow is white, Night follows day, Earth is Round, Lawrenson predicts West Ham To lose, ect ect.

    When is Carroll’s contract finished?

  • Stinger says:

Was wanting to know that myself Roman.
Personally I would cancel his contract in the Summer and Pay him up. Club will just have to take the hit. We need new and better strikers in the summer and his wages will free up much needed money for that.

Some times clubs just have to take a Hit.

I really like Carroll and rate him highly, but enough is enough now.

Not AGAIN! How can someone so tough on the pitch be SO fragile? I really like Carroll; don’t forget, last year, he saved many goals in defence let alone upfield. Real grafter and gets stuck in. Can’t fault it. BUT when he does come back, it takes a few games for him to get into his stride, so in reality we have seen precious little of what he can really do. Not fun for us, but can’t be fun for him either….I still have faith we’ll get some consistancy…

Another soft southerner ( whoops ) I mean a hard Northerner,
If he was arcade horse they would put him down,he will want to walk through brick walls in the last 5 games to prove to Roy he is fit to play for England,
Lucky we have A new CF for Saturday and Sakho coming back
Keep him fit for the summer transfer window then dump him on Newcastle or Sunderland
He is never going to be fit for more then a couple of games a season

Hopefully Emenike is a viable option, other its Djair Parfitt-Williams which would sure be interesting or bring Sakho back early ?

  • essexclarets says:

Can’t we sue him for breach of contract (we thought we were signing a football PLAYER) or not fit for purpose?.. so how many weeks out for a adductor??
