DS wanted to make example of Payet!

|

david-sullivan_1822192c (1)David Sullivan has rapped Dimi Payet and admitted he would sooner the player had been made an example of than allowed to leave.

Seaking on the official site the co chairman said: “The club would like to place on record its sincere disappointment that Dimitri Payet did not show the same commitment and respect to West Ham United that the club and fans showed him, particularly when it rewarded him with a lucrative new five-and-half-year deal only last year.

“I would like to make it clear that we have no financial need to sell our best players and that the decision to allow Payet to leave was in accordance with the wishes of the manager and the interests of squad unity.

To be frank, my Board and I would have preferred for him to have stayed in order to make an example of him, as no player is bigger than the club.”

Can we have a poll please, titled who wants to make C&H a Payet news free zone ? I am bored of hearing about him, he has left us and news articles about him just raise his profile which he doesn’t deserve, it also makes it appear that this is important to us and a big thing, which imho it isn’t. If the poll is granted and there is an overwhelming majority for no news about him can that be the last we ever hear of him on this site ?

Yeah Rads since I asked yesterday there have been another 10 or so articles about him, he played for us he doesn’t anymore, next thing the site will be reporting about his new dramas at OM and his arguements over whether kfc is classed as a performance enhancing food and how it results in your number 2’s coming out in chicken nugget shapes or something else, after a whole transfer window plus of articles mostly about Payet I am sure I can’t be the only one thats had enough of hearing about him ?

I could quite happily not read about him again. At least now he has gone to play in France we dont have to watch him anymore.Ray Wilkins made me laugh on Sky this morning when he said we rescued him from a patheitc French League 😁

It seems not dissimilar from Germany where one team with most of the money wins it most years, I haven’t really followed it much since the 1980’s when another Marseille crook Bernard Tapie livened it up for a while, the fact that any player that is any good wants to move to other leagues is all you really need to know about it 😀

Yeah we saw the standard of players from the French League when Pardew had the brain wave of bring half that league to Newcastle. That worked well 😂
