FA Cup D-Day for two Irons

BurkeDavid Moyes will have a final chance to address the “stay or return” issues surrounding Reece Burke and Josh Cullen at the London Stadium tomorrow evening.

Both are set to be launched into the FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury Town with the draw in Shropshire perhaps proving a blessing in disguise.

For it gives the manager another opportunity to assess the pair before making a decision on whether they should remain until the end of the season or be sent back to Bolton to continue their loan spells.

CullenWith few other opportunities seemingly apparent the timing of the game is right for Reece Oxford to make his first appearance before theĀ  manager after sustaining a foot injury on the training pitch before the first game.

Sam Byram is also fit to return after completing 60 minutes of the tough encounter between the Under 23s and Leicester’s last week.

Possible team: Hart; Byram, Rice, Burke Collins Masuaku, Kouyate, Obiang, Cullen Ayew, Chicharito

  1. I would agree with that defence, and perhaps try Oxford in defensive midfield in place of either Obiang or Kouyate.
Pity we have to try again with Hernandes and Ayew up front but I suppose it’s necessary.
We would kill the tie with Lanzini and Arnie.

  2. I can’t see sensing either back with squad size & especially Cullen. Burke is best at CB not RWB but can cover better at RB cover then WB.
But Cullen wasn’t starting there bc change their style & should keep him.

Chic is I’ll Sleeps won’t be playing.
Like to see Tonk starting w Ayew up fro t with him or by himself & have Sameulsen playing in #10 or LW RW to add some creativity been in good form & links well with Toni.
Ox needs to play maybe in DM bc Moyes has to decide whether wants to keep him already said he could send him back on loan which seems recalling him could be pointless.
But we need to press & go for it.
