Fans respond to hero Ogbonna’s injury blow

Angelo Ogbonna will miss the rest of West Ham’s season as he heads of for knee surgery.

He has played through the pain barrier all year and given his all to the cause at a time when a certain Frenchman has simply more or less walked out.

ClaretandHugh FB forum fans at https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/ have given their views.

Angelo_Ogbonna_BGR-ITA_2012O He will come back much stronger
O Good commitment Ogbonna playing through the pain COYI
OHope to see you back soon Ogbonna ⚒⚒
O Now will people stop the criticism of signing Fonte
O Brave lad would explain a few moments possibly
OSome have been slating him thou not realising he has been injured
O Thanks Angelo – you really are a Hammer.
O At last the Fonte singing adds up. Not that I don’t rate him, just didn’t understand it until now. COYI.
O Very bad news has been a great centre back  since signing hopefully he comes back even stronger!! Forza Ogbonna
After the Payet saga, this is a pleasant reminder that we do have players that are committed to the Club, the fans and each other.
O Really puts things into perspective when you have lazy and ungrateful Payet getting paid bucket loads stropping around while Ogbonna has played injured for the whole season and giving absolute 100% and playing well without a single complaint. Anyway I think it’s made it clear why we bought Fonte.

  1. It makes the Fonte signing look all the better now & just shows we never know whats going on behind the scenes.Have the fans criticizing the Fonte signing gone running for the hills Lol

  2. Fonte has been a top class center back for Southampton and Portugal for years. A great catch in his own right and no doubt will shore up our defence.

Here’s hoping Ogbonna will be back to his absolute best next season.

  3. Hugh – Do you know why Fletcher has dropped down the pecking order and do you know why Calleri went on instead of Fletcher yesterday?? – Do you rate Fletcher ?? – I do not understand why such a young player is not given the chance? I mean Calleri is about to depart the club? can anyone shed any light on this- anyone?

  4. Colin Iron that’s so true what you say. This demonstrates perfectly how little we know and how stupid it is for the flappers to cast judgement on decisions made by the club. This hurts them even more because despite moaning for the club to conduct their business quietly the fact they have done so in terms of Fonte and Ogbonna makes them all look a little silly. Good business all round imo.

Good win yesterday. That’ll quieten a few more lmao.

  5. Now we know oggy was out for the season then fonte was brilliant business.Meself i thought it was the dogs of a signing before finding this out. Some silly w***ers will moan about anything

  6. I have been very critical of Ogbonna this season, because of his dismal defensive displays. Of course none of us knew he was injured, so I don’t apologize for my observations, but I hope he gets fit very quickly and proves us doubters wrong next season. He was of course very brave to have played all season with an injury.
