‘Ginger Pele’ gives the reasons why it’s all changed

collinsJames Collins has revealed the reasons why why West Ham have performed so much better since the arrivl of David Moyes at the London Stadium.

The veteran defender says: “We are miles different from where we were. Performances have got better and there have been a few clean sheets. That has bred confidence.

“I thought we were magnificent up at Stoke and by any stretch of the imagination, so the confidence is still high.

“It is not one thing the manager has done. He has freshened it up. As a group of players, we probably had to look at ourselves and work a bit harder and that is what we have done.

“I think the boys are professional enough to know we weren’t performing enough. Results certainly weren’t good enough — it was there for all to see.

“I think we took a bit of responsibility on ourselves because we weren’t performing well and we have turned it around with the help of the gaffer.”

He added:  “Things can turn around quickly. Just look at Everton. They were in it a couple of weeks ago and they have got three or four wins and moved right up.

“We have got a couple of wins and a draw in the last few weeks and we have moved away from it with another really good chance to get three more points on Saturday. We could probably go to 12th on Saturday with a win, which seems mad from where we were. That is how tight it is.”

  1. Would have been nice to reach the League Cup Semifinals though . We were pathetic again when a trip to Wembley would have given the Fans a tremendous boost . West Brom won’t be easy . They will come to the LS with a winning attitude under Thier new Manager . If we are to keep the momentum going West Brom is a must win game . Not trying to belittle Collins , but the team must turn up on Saturday .

  2. Well that was a silly mistake ; sorry everybody , sorry did of course mean Newcastle .
Got some wires crossed having just arrived home from working abroad . Ooooops .

  3. Agree Kevin I hate that we didn’t go for it in the cup. Bc that is some silver we actually stood a chance at winning. We would of got Chelsea. And have some Silver at the LS & be the first in my lifetime would be great. I think should take very competition seriously & we could of won that game had we just made 2-3 changes not 6.

And have to love Ginge. Most players have been coming out & saying how happy they are & motivated I hope this continues.
My only worry is Chicharito I hope Moyes fimds the way to use him bc he is a class striker & playing 2 up top suits him best which we have been doing.
