Giroud’s wife may open up Hammers move!

Olivier-Giroud1Sam Allardyce has opened up the intriguing prospect of  Olivier Giroud’s next move by claiming Everton will not be making any approaches for the player.

The Gunners striker was hunted by both The Toffees and Irons back in the summer with the north western outfit allegedly close to signing him.

But Allardyce claims that in fact Giroud’s wife Jennifer is keen to remain in London which would certainly open up the prospect of a Hammers move.

The Everton boss said: “As far as I know he doesn’t want to move north of Watford, well his wife doesn’t want to anyway.

He told the Liverpool Echo: ‘It’s very important to the wives, believe you me. Normally they are the bosses.’

Giroud’s agent Michael Manuello has already revealed that he and his client will now be ready to talk to clubs after the front man has failed to nail down a first team place at the Emirates.

  1. To sign Giroud, Carroll has to go!!

  2. Short of offering silly money to Arsenal Giroud will not be moving anywhere in January, Wenger has already said he isn’t selling Giroud and what Wenger wants Wenger usually gets unlike our managers.

    • Yea don’t count on it.
Finay have strikers & now we are willing to sell all of them & don’t start them.
We rest need a creative mid & Defensive mid in Jan most of all.
We have plenty of CBs & would wait till summer & move some on before buy anymore. Funny enough Ginge lowest Waged Experienced CB has Been great & he can’t even get a year I will be mad if they sell him in Jan. He wants to retire here & is solid squad player. 6 CBs w Burke & Fonte then Cresswell & Kouyate who is actually better at CB then CM.
But we will need a CF if we sell 2 of them.
I feel bad for Chic was told he would be our #1 striker & I don’t believe Moyes started w ‘clean slate’

And if you were a striker and saw how world class finisher got treated & others would you want to come here?

      • World class strikers cost €75m ….. not €15m… Why would a world class finisher go so cheaply to such a poor team . He is a luxury bench sitter who has been a short term success everywhere he has been .
