Gold is ‘99% certain’ Valencia won’t need an op!

Britain West Ham ValenciaDavid Gold, the West Ham Chairman, has taken to social media to claim it is “99% certain” Enner Valencia will not need an operation.

The confusing merry-go-round surrounding the state of Valencia’s injuries took another twist today when Gold revealed to his 119.000 Twitter followers he was certain the surgeon’s knife would not be required to aide the striker’s recovery – despite the club’s head of medical and sports science saying the exact opposite!

Stijn Vandenbroucke told the official West Ham website on Monday that Valencia could be set to return to action in 10-12 weeks.

“There is now a very small chance that he will need an operation and that we instead hope to treat the injury to his fibula using conservative treatment, which we hope to start in three weeks,” revealed Vandenbroucke at the beginning of the week.

But Gold is adamant he has the inside track on the player’s health – and is a lot more confident the injuries will heal without the need for surgery.

Fingers crossed, let’s hope the Chairman is right!

  1. Great news,so pleased for the lad if he doesnt need an op.

  2. He will have a great season for us, a massively underrated player. Was messed about last year and stuck on the wing after a good start. I hope he gets over this injury ASAP so we can enjoy his talent

  3. Really good news if he dont require an op.Need him back soon as possible. We aint never going to be able to rely on Carroll.Even when he comes back he will probably be shagged again within a few matches.
