Gold…en Saturday beckons

gold-david-gold-west-ham-co-owner-july-2014_3179990David Gold believes the Irons have a perfect opportunity to start their London Stadium turnaround against Sunderland tomorrow (Sat).

David Moyes comes to London desperate for any kind of result and with Jermain Defoe claiming the Black Cats can take advantage of the team’s home sickness.

But Gold detects the tide is turning and made it clear that we now have to start beating teams in lower regions of the League.

He said: “We really did look more like ourselves last weekend and now comes the test at home. We all know the problems we’ve been having but there’s a real confidence in the squad that we can get a result.

“David Moyse is an excellent manager and will have Sunderland primed so all respect to the opposition but we are hopeful.

“It was a real booster last weekend and we have a great opportunity to do ourselves a big favour tomorrow and I’m really looking forward to this game.”

  1. No pressure from above then.Mr. Gold does realise we have no regular full backs for this game. This will surely hamper the formation and perssonel.I think we will win but it won’t be easy.COYI
