Hammers damn winger target report

Jürgen Damm Rascón.jpg

West Ham have categorically denied any interest whatsoever in Mexican winger Jurgen Damm.

The Mexican was widely reported to be in talks with the Hammers after the story first appeared in the unreliable Sun.

And as explained by ClaretandHugh in a recent report, the club simply aren’t looking at midfielders given the urgent need to find a striker – or two.

Indeed the only activity in that area of the squad would be to possibly release the likes of either Robert Snodgrass or Sofiane Feghouli

Despite suggestions that Damm was in talks with some outlets  claiming a £4 million bid has been lodged, we can reveal there has been no contact from the club either to the player or his agents.

A club source made it quite clear this morning to CandH that this was not an option they had, are or would be following.

We were told: “We have absolutely no interest in Jurgen Damm – that is a non starter.”

  1. I have to say… I’m so glad about that.
Just think we need to get players we know are of quality and not take a punt on anyone.

  2. Adverts going crazy this morning, my screen is flashing away like a beacon on a stormy night at sea…….seriously….?

  3. In fact on one page you are trying to flog me Washing Machines, tickets with Etihad Airlines, Microsoft products, Stylight ladies knickers and some gardening stuff…..none of which are relevant to me in any way whatsoever so a complete waste of time.

  4. I agree Pop – I get why they need to earn revenue (well, I mean I can understand why they might want to – they don’t have to), but there has been a continual encroachment of over-zealous advertising on this site for a while now. It’s a shame, as it detracts from the quality of the site – one I still regard as the best source of West Ham news and debate. Cue those saying “Sod off to Wet Pants then” – I’m not saying I want to, or will do that, but I think it’s useful to provide feedback to Hugh and the team on finding the right balance…
