Hammers duo set for City

NobleWest Ham duo Andy Carroll and Mark Noble will both be fit for the match against Manchester City a week tomorrow.

The striker was subbed at Middlesbrough after suffering a tight groin and Noble went off to be replaced by Edmilson Fernandes early in the second half.

Noble’s injury looked quite worrying but ClaretandHugh learned this afternoon that he has made a rapid recovery and is certain to be fit whilst Carroll’s position is fine and will be in the squad barring training ground incidents of course.

We were told that in both cases scans had not been required and that the pair were both happy with things. Noble suffered an ankle problem but will be fine.

With Angelo Ogbonna heading for surgery on a knee issue Jose Fonte is set to make his debut alongside Winston Reid and his solidarity and organising skills will be timely against a City team packed with goalscorers.
