Hammers get fabulous boost for Stoke clash

The Hammers were given a fabulous boost at lunchtime when Manu Lanzini passed a fitness test for tonight’s clash against Stoke City.

The Argentinian playmaker has been out of action since returning from international duty but ClaretandHugh understands learned that he came through his midday test with no repercussions following training.

However, manager David Moyes may choose to start him on the bench given his lack of matches opting for either Joao Mario or Chicharito at the start.

Either way it’s a fantastic boost for the squad as they go into a match that can see them virtually banish all relegation fears for another season with a victory over Paul Lambert’s haunted outfit.

We understand too that James Collins is fit to return to the defence although he now looks to be behind Declan Rice who is set to partner Angelo Ogbonna at the heart of the defence for this evening’s game.

Kick Off 8pm London Stadium
