Hammers get home draw against minnows

The Irons will face League Two side Accrington Stanley in the third round of the EFL Cup.

We  have been drawn at home and the tie will be played week commencing 19 September 2016.

Stanley caused one of the big upsets of the second round against Premier League opposition when Matty Pearson scored a last minute extra-time winner against Burnley.

Having been knocked out of the Capital One Cup in the third round by Leicester City last season, this gives the club a chance of making real progress in the competition.

  1. Great to be at home and a chance to give some of the fringe players a game,
Also these sort of games give people a chance to get tickets for home games and see the new stadium,
Back in Blighty myself in a couple of months for a few weeks so I hope to go to the new ground as well as pop back to the old area,

  2. Just seen this on SSN transfer page.

    ZAZA HEADING TO LONDON

An update on West Ham’s search for a new striker.

Slaven Bilic confirmed yesterday that he’s interested in signing Wilfred Bony and Simone Zaza

Sky in Italy are reporting that Zaza could be on his way to London as early as tonight. They say it’s an initial loan deal – with an obligation to buy for £24m.

F*ck it I might have to buy that pair of Pampers & get my vocal chords warmed up 🙂

  3. That will teach ya to write things late at night. After a few beers was it lol

  4. No I was sober mate.I have a get out though.I said they wouldn’t spend 25 on him this window.I might go to the next match in some Pampers anyway, why not 🙂

  5. I see Southampton are paying £21 million for a 22yr old from the French league who scored 11 goals last season. If we did that there would be meltdown from some of our fans!

  6. Good news about the Stanley I wonder if we can get some milk in for the team, Slaven knows if you drink milk you will play better than them, it was his favourite tipple during matches( for those of you not old enough there was a famous advert about if you didn’t drink your milk you would only be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley ) ramble finished looking forward to this one COYI!!!
