Hammers hit bottom three

The Hammers have plunged into the bottom three for the first time this season after today’s results.

Hopefully it will only be a 24 hour thing but this evening the team sit in 18th place following some fierce scuffles among the relegation threatened clubs this afternoon (Sat).

Swansea scored a big 3-0 victory over Sunderland to clamber off the bottom and into 17th place with David Moyes’ Black Cats dropping to the bottom spot.

Crystal Palace highly inconsistent spell continued at Hull where they fell behind before taking a 2-1 lead and ending up with a 3-3 draw.

At the end of it all the Hammers remain on 12 points with Swansea gaining 17th place on the basis of a 2 goal better goal difference.

The Hammers would of course go back above them tomorrow (Sun) with a draw .

  1. GOOD NEWS the players can’t deny they are in a relegation fight anymore !

  2. Haven’t seen much sign of ‘fight’ myself, so perhaps they are right to deny it ha ha. I cannot believe this squad, with the players we had last season (the new ones have not added anything) are in this position. Even if we get ourselves out of this mess it is not the ‘ progress’ that was talked about, and there need to be changes.

  3. What makes it worse is Bilic defending his signings from last summer.Self preservation has kicked in before he gets kicked out.

  4. I’ve been watching West Ham since 1964 (52 years ago)
I can live with a side being lowly placed in a very strong EPL, with one provision..
We seem to have lost heart and interest; just need to look at Payet’s facial expression in the past few games in order to understand what I’m saying.
Where has our traditional team spirit gone..
The way we are playing at present,we’d struggle in the Championship!
However, even in the worst scenario, things will turn around again-just hope I’m still alive to see it..
