Hammers linked to highly unlikely loan target

IngsInjury ravaged Liverpool striker Danny Ings is being linked with a highly unlikely loan move to West Ham in the January window.

Ings – prolific at Burnley before joining the Reds – has suffered a double knee problem since arriving at the club making just three EFL League appearances in the last two seasons.

And although the Sun story says he is  slowly recovering from two operations and that Moyes is a big admirer, it’s impossible to believe the Scot would adopt such a high risk signing as he bids to resurrect his own managerial credentials.

It’s equally difficult to believe, given the Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho scenarios of the past couple of years, that such a move would be sanctioned by the board.

It’s far more likely that Ings could find a Championship club much as Liverpool may want to find him a Premier League outfit with Bournemouth also claimed to be interested.
