Hammers linked with Brazilian winger chase

CafuWest Ham is claimed to be the latest club to join the pursuit of Jonathan Cafu. The 25-year-old Ludogorets winger is a target for a number of Premier League sides.

After 10 goals in 24 league outings for the Bulgarian club, Cafu is ready to seek a fresh challenge and the Hammers could be one club ready to hand him a shot at English football.

However, Sporting Lisbon appears to have the upper hand at present.

Cafu told reporters: “I have a contract with Ludogorets, but I do not rule out the possibility of going to Sporting. It’s a team that plays in the Champions League and is in a Championship better and more visible than the Bulgarian. If I go to Sporting, I will be very happy and hope to demonstrate good football.”

He is thought to be available in the summer for around £10 million.
