Hammers Quina stance keeps PSG at bay

quinaTop Hammers prospect Domingos Quina will be back in training over the next few days after being given a ten day break following his involvement on international duty for the Portuguese under 19 team.

And despite reports that Paris st Germain are looking in his direction the Hammers have no intention of letting the 17 year old leave the club.

A morning report suggests that PSG head of recruitment Joao Luis Afonso instructed a party led by his brother Nuno to meet 17-year-old Quina’s family.

However, Quina is well settled in the Hammers academy and was on the bench 13 times for the first team last season.

Slaven Bilic is a huge admirer of the youngster whom we stole from under the noses of Manchester United and Arsenal and having signed a contract extension last November the teenager is now tied to the Irons until 2019.

Meanwhile Martin Samuelsen is expected to be back in training over the next couple of weeks having undergone surgery on his throat after suffering breathing issues during games.

  1. Good to see we want to keep Quina.

Very surprised about the Samuelsen medical issue – I hope the lad’s ok.

  2. Start giving them game time , two talents we don’t want to loose , 15 mins here and there and cup games , I would also pick rice in front of ginge and fonte 🙂

  3. This really is the time that you realise the value of playing in Europe. A run in the euafa cup would be great for these youngsters and also for some of the other squad players like Adrian Byram etc. We are too quick to say we don’t want to be competing in the euafa cup imo, mind entry straight into the league stage would be good.

  4. I would love to see Quina get some time after reianing with first team last season and on bench 15 times. He could be our answer to Noble slowing down.
