Hammers tried to get more FA Cup tickets

|

david-sullivan_1822192c (1)David Sullivan has joined his co chairman David Gold in paying his personal tribute to the Irons fans.

The fans have astonishingly snapped up the entire 7,200 tickets allocated by Blackburn for the fifth round FA Cup clash this weekend.

And after DG had paid a massive tribute to them, Sullivan told the official site: ““It shows the passionate way our supporters love the FA Cup and this is for a game on live TV. I’m humbled by our support.

“We asked for more tickets from Blackburn, but sadly there was no way they could segregate us and give us more.

“I’m sure the fans will provide an amazing atmosphere on Sunday and hopefully we will be too good for them, but in football you never know. We will be fielding a strong side.”

Shame they didn’t have the same attitude when taking the Liverpool allocation.

Hope they bear this in mind when taking future away allocations and also look at what we give the away team in big games at Upton Park.6000 is too many.5200 more like it.

    • Circumstances entirely different. Liverpool meant many would have been stranded becos no trains. It may have been the wrong decision but one that they were forced to make
