Hart rumours rumble on

JoeHartThere have been a number of reports in the English media which have claimed that West Ham are once again eyeing a move for Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Those rumours have been gathering pace today as it was revealed that Hart will not be part of Manchester City’s tour of America this summer, despite Pep Guardiola’s shortage of available goalkeepers.

William Hill have made the Hammers the overnight 1/2 odds on favourite to sign the stopper while you can get odds of 5/1  for him to stay at Manchester City,  Newcastle at 5/2, while Aston Villa are 3/1 and Manchester United are 9/1.

The BBC claim Manchester United have sounded out representatives of Joe Hart about the prospect of moving to Old Trafford in the event that David de Gea leaves the club.

Just a few days ago the Daily Mirror claimed Toon boss Rafa Benitez also has a clear run at England keeper Joe Hart after West Ham pulled out of the race to sign him.
The keeper wants to retain his wages of £120,000 per week which will be the biggest hurdle for West Ham.

  1. Think this is a waste he makes £110k but need a striker more than a GK I’m decline. Even on a loan his wages will be huge and £20m for permanent is too much. Rather keep what we have or go after reasonable GK like Ospina who is younger and for £3.2m a good deal and has won 2 FA cups btwn the sticks and was the Gunners #1 before Cech. And his wages would be lower.

  2. Dear God, nooooooooooooooooo!!!

  3. It’s called ambition and going in the right direction to make us a top six club . Hart is the Striker we desperately need . And a major plus to his game is that he can double up as a Keeper .
