As we look to turn into 2018 and of course the winter transfer window, ClaretandHugh asked its readers what they are wishing for most in the New Year.

O I really wish for someone who can control our game from midfield. I wish Carroll, Ayew and Sakho good luck somewhere else. And I wish for a top class striker. I’m not that worry about the defence. They should not have to be so busy in every match.

Progress up the table, I like Moyes I think he is doing a difficult job turning underperformong stars form around, in some cases it has been successful, Noble, Masuaku, Cresswell to a degree, Arnautovic, Ogbonna all have picked up since Moyes arrival plus we have Adrian in goal. if he can improve a few more Lanzini actually looks better also, if we can make it through this season I am more confident than the last two seasons, I would like the chairpeople to consider their responses on social and main stream media and would love us to find another Payet / DiCanio / Tevez type in this transfer window, if we need to sell I hope we get good prices as we have had a tendency to sell on the cheap.
