History repeats itself this season

EFLThis time last season we had lost the Betway cup to Werder Breman, We beat Arsenal at the Emirates on the first day of the Premier League season but went on to lose the next two matches against Leicester City and Bournemouth at the Boleyn ground and we were dumped out of the Europa League by Astra Giurgiu.

Fast forward twelve months, we lost the Betway cup to Juventus, we lost away against top four sides Chelsea and Man City but bagged three points at home against AFC Bournemouth leaving us level on points to our tally last season after three games. Oh and we got dumped out of the Europa League by Astra Giurgiu again.

If history is to carry on repeating itself we will go on to win the next three games against Watford, West Brom and Southampton as we did last season against Liverpool, Newcastle and Man City.

Hopefully we won’t be knocked out of the newly renamed English Football League (EFL) cup by Accrington Stanley as we did by Leicester City in the Capital One Cup last season.

  1. Might of lost, Manchester’s a **** hole but had a few beers and watched a 2nd half performance that was a bit like last year without our best players!! So to all the doom merchants and whingers time to shut your ****ing mouths and start supporting the club again without the constant bleating and moaning.

  2. Antonio gest a call up from Sam .?
Fukin grill ? What a boost for the lad ? Chuffec to bits ? ( huge smiley )

  3. Hugh is this autocorrect dyslexic ? ( smiley )

  4. History also repeats in that we have had terrible luck with reffing decisions, we don’t turn up for most of the first half and we have a lot of injuries. That may sound like doom and gloom but I am optimistic that when we get going we are going to be better than last season and are going to finish the season with more points than last season, I am excited with the players we have signed and think our future looks really bright COYI !!!!

  5. Too many knee jerk reactions, and far too much negativity at the moment. Roll on two weeks…..Watford at home. A few more injured players back in the squad. Valencia and Obiang gone…… and possibly Bony and Chambers in on loan. We’ll be fine. Top six and a cup.
