  1. Can we rate BFS again at -1.
You’re hard on Song who battled and won the ball repeatedly but needs a team moving around him to pass too.
Also on Valencia and Amalfitano who need players to play off.
Nolan tried but doesn’t have the legs, ability to distribute the ball, and these days is very rarely a threat. He seriously stresses the whole system and moves players out of position and forces others to cover. Why does BFS persist with picking him?

  2. A little harsh on Song I think and too easy on Adrian; he got beat at his near post.

  3. Demel played all last season at right back but O,Brien is better ?
Noble best rated midfielder for years but Nolans better out of position ?
Kouyate can’t make bench probably fatigue ( or Nolans better )?
Sakho can’t make bench ( to late for any FIFAS action ) ?
Why bother taking Oxford or Poyet if you think there ti inmature?
WHY IS BIG FAT SAM OUR MANAGER ?

  4. What is worrying is how something so good ie the first 10 games or so has turned so limp.
How does West Ham justify spending 3 million a year to temp Fletcher yet will not pay off Sam’s contract.
He gets Downing to play out of his mind at the tip of the diamond then unceremoniously dumps him out on the wing to accommodate Nolan.
We play speed and harassment from midfield through the forward line and change everything for Carroll so that we go back to last seasons shambles again.
Song should be rested for his own good . He gives the ball away too easily in real dangerous positions. I can go on but I will bore myself repeating the obvious.
Then we have these catastrophic transfer negotiations where we keep changing our mind at the last minute ticking everyone off only to go back and try to do something.
Then we play Sakho knowing we will get an earful from Senegal and FIFA .
What the hell is going on ? and who is pulling the strings ..the owners or the manager?

  5. Seriously Hugh – Nolan a 4?? You are much too generous.
Unfortunately, Harnser is right – it is not just how bad he is – the counter productive affect he has on the other players and their positions is destroying the effort. He might run a lot but so can I -reckon I could easily run 8kms a match but it would be slow just like him! Watch the guy – if he does nick a ball he never puts himself into a position to receive it back. The likes of Song and Noble very rarely, if ever, pass to Nolan.

  6. We have given BFS enough chances now and his team selections continue to baffle everyone. I am sure the owners are feeling the same pain as the fans. We have to put up with it but there is no excuse for the owners – they have the power to sack him, If you can’t sack him just put him on gardening leave. Our best team is Adrian, Burke or Oxford, Tomkins, Reid, Cresswell, Noble, Song, Kouyate, Downing, Valencia and Sakho. I doubt we will ever see this team again this season with BFS in charge. In the summer we need a playmaker and a box to box midfielder.

  7. Thought Reid left Sturridge wide open for the 2nd goal.. he was drawn to the ball like a fool leaving Sturridge WIDE open

Nolan only gets a 2 from me, 5 passes in the 1st half with only 1 going to a west ham player

BFS lost this game before it started.. Echos of Chelsea at christmas

  8. Didn’t watch he game, as I knew that when BFS plays Nolan from the start we revert to long ball football. The beginning of the season we played excellent football with players in their best positions not only to play but also to support others. The reason why our players are now the target of other clubs is because they play well. By playing good football we reached the heights of 4th now watch as we slide down to finish about 12 or 13. Not a great fan of BFS but he is not the manager for us!

  9. Harsh on Song. Much improved on his last couple of performances. Thought he was the best of a poor bunch.
