How we rated the Irons against the Hornets

niallmc
CandH ratings man Niall McDonald hands out the marks for the Irons against Watford.
Randolph: Watford’s high press put his distribution under pressure. Not much to do apart from picking the penalty out his net 5
Kouyate: No excuses for the lazy tracking back and clumsy tackle for their pen, even if you argue he isn’t a full-back by trade. Positive going forward 4
Reid: He and Fonte kept Deeney quiet. Couple of stray passes but as solid as we’ve come to expect 6
Fonte: Went close with a header on the hour. Beaten in the air near the end but fortunately Watford headed wide 6
Cresswell: Good game – four  crosses on the mark. Criminally under-used 6
Noble: Struggling here… I don’t remember anything great or terrible from the skipper 5
Obiang: Basic Obiang performance – no frills 6
Lanzini: Much more involved after the break. Pulled us back into the game. Sharp thru-ball for the equaliser 7
Snodgrass: Limited chances to cut inside and drive at the Watford back-line. Subbed after 65 mins 5
Feghouli: Competent, committed and made the most tackles in the 90 mins 6
Antonio: Very much up front on his own tonight. Caused problems whenever given the chance to run in on goal. Soft (although fair) 2nd yellow 7
Subs:
Ayew: Followed-up Antonio’s double post-strike beautifully 6
Fernandes: Came on in 91st minute to help run the clock down No rating
