Huge game tonight as Irons look to go third

LeicesterSam Byram will this evening take his first steps back towards the first team squad when he starts in the Under 23s team against Leicester.

Sam has seen action in only three Hammers League Cup outings and has been out since sustaining a thigh strain against Spurs in the epic 3-2 win against them in October.

But tonight he is hoping to make an impact for the U 23s who are looking to follow up their victory over Manchester Unted and improve their  League position in Premier League 2.

The lads are currently sitting in sixth position with 20 points from 12 games and a victory tonight would lift them into fourth behind  Arsenal, Leicester and Liverpool.

With placed Leicester able to take top spot with a win a fiercely competitive game is on the cards for Terry Westley’s boys.
