In Pellegrini we must trust

The signing of Felipe Anderson and Fabian Balbuena this weekend completes an incredible summer of transfers for West Ham which has left many rival Premier League supporters jealous and envious.

The seven signings mean the Hammers have committed to spend over £100m in transfer, signing-on and agent fees which is breaks all the records for our club. Some may argue we don’t know a lot about many of the incoming players beyond what we have seen on youtube but every one of them is a Manuel Pellegrini target and in our new manager we must trust!

It is true that Felipe Anderson is not a regular in the Brazilian national team, he wasn’t at the World Cup and there didn’t appear to be competition for his signature but it was Pellegrini’s main summer target above all others and he allegedly wants to build the team around him. The same could be argued about Issa Diop, Andriy Yarmolenko and Fabian Balbuena but again I am sure Pellegrini knows much better than us and his experience speaks for itself.

Ryan Fredericks could also be said to be a gamble stepping up from the Championship while the gamble with Jack Wilshere is keeping him both injury free and playing him in the right position.

I am sure the gaffer has a master plan and is confident he can deliver a match-winning team come August time.

In Pellegrini, we must trust!  Come on you Irons!

  1. hes Been clever. He has bought a mixture of young potential next level players like Diop for instance and players like Yarmolenko and Anderson who would probably have been completely unaffordable if it were not for injury or inconsistency for whatever reason. So all in all we have bought in players with potential to go right to the top or fulfill their original promise and potential. Yes it’s West Ham, so they could all flop too in the rigours of the premier league but this is why we love football and take nothing for granted.

  2. Pellegrini is a well proven coach at the highest level as he’s been there and done it! There should be no question of WHU fans trusting him.
The level of funding the board are providing is unprecedented and the quality of squad being assembled is a statement of intent that they actually want the team to challenge for the top six places. (Slaven Bilic must be wondering why he wasn’t given this financial input two years ago. In my opinion, he would surely have built on the previous season’s 7th place)
Pellegrini is a coach who plays to win, unlike the likes of Allardyce and Moyes who set up their teams to avoid defeat (sometimes against teams lower than us in the table!).
