Irons issue Carroll assurance

|

slaven-bilic-west-ham-andy-carroll_3358382West Ham have no intention of moving Andy Carroll on despite their hunt for a £25 million striker this summer.

The Hammers though have made it clear to ClaretandHugh this afternoon they are “in no hurry” to bring their big summer signing to the club declaring: “We are going to make sure we get this absolutely right.”

Our top source added: “It’s known there’s an interest in Christian Benteke if a salary could be negotiated along with other names that are well known.

“However, despite his injury problems there is no readiness to sell Andy because as this club enters the European arena they will need all the quality players they can get. He’s become a big impact player.

“There has been an ongoing public conversation on social media about his future but he’s a top player and can do a great job for the club. If we make it into Europe it’s clear we will need more players of quality rather than less.

“He’s had far too many injury problems but he’s done really well at times in games recently and deserves a change of luck. There’s no question of us wanting to sell.”

Lovely an article on West Ham on a West Ham site, how F#cking refreshing compared to reading the Wetpants being experts on Paedophiles now.
Can see Carroll staying 100%.What’s the point of selling him & then needing two top notch forwards in the transfer market.Only need to keep him & Sakho fit & we could have a top forward line with a new addition.Still ain’t sold on Carroll & his Hop a long body but Slaven seems to want to keep him.

    • Hammer Tone says:

Get what your saying mate. Some dude posted a thread on there earlier & all he got was grief apart from HH.

I always like to joke, but I noticed too what Ty montioned above… some idiots would do better to engage their brain before they open their mouth, especially on a football site. Di#kheads…

This loyalty to a player who has Never repaid the trust & backing given to him, over the past few weeks he has been in the media that many times, his own self promoting stories, at West Ham we have much more talented players, you do not see them desperate for media attention, Aaron Cresswell one player and of course our Captain one of The Best Mark Noble,

Often wonder if the misplaced support given to him is a defence for what he has cost the club, will he ever be in the 20 goal league of Lukaku, Kane & Vardy to name just three, I seriously doubt it.

Agree jaybs.I too think the owners in particular are protecting their “lame duck investment”.I am sure Brendan Rogers got it right with Carroll.
If the money was forthcoming I am sure he would be sold with crocodile tears in the eyes of the two Daves.

  • Hammer Tone says:

No chance Jaybs.,Lucky to get 10 a season out of him.How many has he scored in total since he joined us.Not a great deal over that time.

I live in hope that we will have an injury-free period from Carroll, and if so, he’ll do some serious damage to opposition defences…and, because he is a grafter, shoring up ours on occasions…I’m happy we’ve got Carroll! And I don’t want to see him go. So there: BOO!

Reading the kind of language being used in the first replies on here, I would suggest some posters are sailing very close to the wind, in breaking the law against discrimination and need to stick to football.
Or perhaps Hugh, you need to do some editing of these posts to protect your site

  • Hammer Tone says:

    Oh do belt up Canchaz!

  • Radai Lama says:

Well it makes some sort of change Chaz saying geezers are sailing close to the wind,He spents ‘kin months telling everyone they were whistling in the wind.I think he has wind issues 😀

  • Hammer Tone says:

Bet he ain’t even got a clue what we were on about.Wanted to stick his snout in it though.

  • TysonM says:

    Meh,whatever Canchaz.

Sell the lad, the North East is where he belongs..

Chips, gravy, pints, lasses, tabs n’ kebabs

    Sorry

    • COYI247 says:

Sounds like that’s where you belong. How about you go up there instead? Then everyone would be happy: You, him, us: A real win-win, yeah?….or maybe me…nice list!

  • bubs says:

Happy Canchaz now you are a legal eagle,
    Or some stupid bird,
You think Johnson is going to take legal action against us common fans or Hugh for allowing us to vent our anger against the Wetside and its idiots or us for stating facts ?
See you tomorrow with your little. Bit of sunshine give old iron a tap on your wall so he knows we all say goodnight in the asylum
    Bye Bye

    • I am pretty well certain Mr Johnson is unable to mount any legal action whilst in prison for a crime of which he has been found guilty. Nor do I believe a football sit is the correct place to call for a return of the death penalty etc. I’ll take my chances on AJ !!!!!

  • Radai Lama says:

You should all be wary of not disrespecting Chaz too much.Seems you have all forgotten he has mystic powers, lol 😀

Would like to keep Carroll myself, hopefully staying fit for longer than 3 games he would do an impact. My view on Carroll differs slightly from what I’ve heard, seen, read etc. My greatest fear with AC is when we use him defensively for corners, especially late in the game. Ever noticed how he tends to stay back after the back four are running out upon clearing the ball, completely destroying the offside line – only a matter of time before we get punished from that. As well, when the ball drops down at his feet in our 16 meters.. disastrous. No question the lad can header a ball though.

  • slaven a laugh says:

Yes I agree. Andy Carroll is our most unselfish striker. The work he does for the team, particularly defensively, can’t be underestimated. When we need a goal and he comes off the bench you feel it’s almost written that he’s going to score. Andy needs to stay. Just like all our other homegrown stars. Carroll Noble cresswell Antonio all vital. I know there’s many on here that would have got rid of the likes of Collins Carroll and nobes and have said so many times but there are many times this season when all of those players have been vital to the cause. Many times they have either won the game for us or ensured a draw at the least through their efforts.
