Irons keep an eye on Carvalho

|

CarvalhoWest Ham are keeping an eye on William Carvalho and refusing to rule out a possible move for the Sporting Lisbon midfielder in January.

Despite the unpleasant war of words between the two clubs, Slaven Bilic remains keen on the player  and a move for the player could be on the cards.

The pantomime theatricals between the two sides has been a source of amusement to many but the manager would still love to bring the player into the squad after admitting coveting him for the past two years .

Carvhalho will have just over two years left on his Lisbon deal when the next transfer window comes around and the Irons would again be looking at a fee of between 25 million –  28 million euros should they decide to move in.

We were told: “It’s a possibility – no more than that as there are more important matters to concentrate on than the next window.

“We’ll see how things are at that point although it’s very difficult to get the players you really want in that particular transfer window.”
