Moussa+Konate+Bologna+FC+v+Genoa+CFC+h92PQTzYGMplThe Irons are this morning (Tues) reported as being ready to make a summer move for Senegal striker Moussa Konate.

There has been no formal confirmation but the claim is he is also of interest to Newcastle and Aston villa after replacing Diafra Sakho at January’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The 6ft 21 year old came off the bench to score twice in his country’s 2-1 win over Ghana and has scored 11 times in 17 appearances for his club, Swiss side FC Sion, this season.

I have seen a bit of this guy, looks a decent player.Trouble is for every Sakho out there there is also a Maiga.Guess you dont know sometimes unless you risk it for a biscuit.Sullivan risked it with Sakho & thank god he did.

Senegal is a country that brings good luck: Sakho, Kouyate, Diamè (I liked him)… maybe Konate played with Sakho in their national team, they know each other, and it could be an advantage… but it’s just a guess.

Now I ask Conker to ask his secret sources about Konate, so Davids are certain of this purchase… I’ll let you know asap.

I just wonder if we need another big striker up alongside AC, I wouldn’t be too pleased if Sakho had to drop to the bench with Valencia so Nolan could play off them
