Lanzini – it looks like a hamstring issue

A Lanzini C&HManu Lanzini looked to have tweaked a hamstring when he was hauled off during the second half of the game against Bournemouth this afternoon.

The Argentine playmaker had enjoyed an effective hour but was forced off after appearing to feel his hamstring in the 64th minute.

Chicharito replaced him and then scored the equaliser in the 73rd minute after Ryan Fraser had given the visitors a lead seconds earlier.

And should a scan show that Manu has indeed suffered a hamstring problem it probably means that the little Mexican will be remaining as part of the Hammers squad despite wild transfer speculation.

Aaron Cresswell too suffered a blow when he went down in the 90th minute and the physio was looking at his right angle and after applying a little pressure to it the left back decided that was enough to call it a day.

The Irons though fully deserved their point in a game between two evenly matched sides and tonight remain in 11th position

  1. Well its happened hasn’t it , add Arnie to that as well ! The last 20 minutes he was holding his right hammy and lost a lot of his pace because he was feeling it ! Unless some body’s come in and quick it could prove to be a hard and long run in and we could easily be dragged into the bottom half quickly ! Injuries are mounting up and if we don’t sign a few players next week it could really hurt us after getting into the mid table spot ! We have nothing going forward if these two are out for a period of time ! 😟
