Leroy: Injuries galore but we can get result

LEROY (1)Tomorrow’s game at Goodison is something of a mystery because it seems that both squad have been hit by a mass of injuries thus making mugs of forecasters.

From what I’ve heard the Irons could have as many as five missing from their usual team whilst word from Everton is that up to 10 are under treatment.

Both Diafra Sakho (back spasms) and Stewart Downing are likely to be missing and I’ve also read that Valencia could be missing though the club is playing its cards close to its chest.

Andy Carroll looks a certain starter and I’d love to see Zarate play although I think we may be more likely to see Kevin Nolan.

Both will have a big point to prove and with the confidence the team have gained over the start of the season this is no time to write the Irons off, injuries or not.

Traditionally down the years we get little from this fixture and given everything I make Everton marginal favourites on their own manor

But with Carroll back and the defence looking solid and untouched by injury I reckon we have a chance although I think a point would be a result.

Leroy’s prediction: 1-1

  1. Get your point mate but I thought Reid is one of those struggling to make it due to injury.

If zarate is fit then I would start him with Cole and continue Andy’s rehabilitation from the bench.

I believe we can get something from this game no matter what toffee’s team turns up as we are a real force to be reckoned with this year. But we don’t know just how good a chance we have untill the two teams are announced. COYI!
