It’s all about Mike Dean as far as Mike Dean is concerned….his performance today was an utter disgrace.
I just knew that when he took his time to make a decision on the sending off he would get it wrong! Useless…utterly useless. He ruined what was going to be a great game of football.
And as for the second goal – a total and complete shocker. There were three United all standing offside and Dean didn’t think twice about giving the goal.
A child who has just learned the offside rule could have seen at least one of those players was offside, never mind the three but not apparently Dean.
I’ve never liked him as a referee. His looks and glances are all – it seems to me – designed to ensure he looks good in the morning newspapers.
That was one of the worst refereeing performances I can remember seeing and he will deserve ever dreadful headline he should get.
Slaven can be very proud of West Ham – the lads were excellent – and the key moment came when Michail Antonio failed to lift the ball over De Gea with that one on one in the second half.
Had he converted that we might have have had a whole different game on our hands but despite that the Hammers can feel very very proud of their performance.
In the end having only 10 men and United seemingly 12 with the assistance of some totally incompetent reffiing and lining did us in.
Mike Dean should feel totally ashamed of himself.

I couldnt fault our lads though.At times it was difficult to tell it was 11v10.

Agree completely. The lads can be proud. I think that, overall, we were the better team. I haven’t been too complementary about some of this season’s performances – but this wasn’t one of them. It is not easy to play with ten men against thirteen ! But, had Antonio scored with either of his two chances, we could have won. Ratings ? All get 6 or above from me, but Nordtveit, despite recent improvement, does not seem to be very good – 4. Payet – time to drop him, anonymous in this match. Lanzini – 8 man of the match.
Any one of our fans who wants to bad-mouth the team after the effort our guys put in really do need a good kicking.
