Leroy gives his Irons v Sunderland verdict

LEROY (1)Tomorrow is not going to be pretty on or off the pitch with Sam Allardyce returning to Upton Park after having perhaps  little too much to say for himself in the days building up to the game.

But at the of the day it’s all about three points and I am backing the Irons to pick them up but only just because make no mistake Sam will set up to nick a point .

He will probably go with a 4-1-4-1 formation with the midfield sitting no more than 10-15 yards in front of the back four, it’s going to be tight and ugly but we can nick it – JUST!

It means we will need to be quick and clever whenever we get towards their penalty area – there will be a lot of sideways and backwards movement as we probe.

It’s going to be hard but one moment of magic from Payet or Lanzini could  be the key to a match which has an awful lot surrounding it – for many reasons the Irons really want this one.

I can see Sam sending Lee Cattermole to man mark Payet and if that’s the case our top man can expect to find himself on the end of some rattling challenges.

But that may be another thing in our favour because we will undoubtedly win free kicks around the box and we have players who can deliver-notably Payet.

Jermain Defoe – with 13 goals this season – remains a threat and Wahbi Kazri -is a threat down the left for them but we are a very good side and I expect us to have breached them before the end of the 90 minutes.

  1. Hope youre right Leroy.I want that turd to walk away from UP pointless & disillusioned with life.Must hurt him knowing Slav is taking us into the OS not him.Love it.

  2. I think if we score quick we could get quite a few,
Hippo only has one plan and when he concedes goals early on he has to chase the game which will open the gates for us,
Could be close but I think big win is in order,
Would except 1-0 but only if the game is entertaining and the fans leave happy

  3. Antonio must start IMO and not moses , karzi is nippi so if Byram is playing we need the bards defensive qualities . Although mose s has done well recently I think ( know ) the bard has made this position his own . If the turd does park the convoy then carol may have a say with his nut ! We must not lose and we must not respect the point ! The crowd will play a big part , loud and proud with plenty of p1ss taking .
4-0 no problem after clattermole gets a red!!!!!!!

  4. Pure class from slaven in his recent press conference. This is how a gentleman conducts himself.

  5. Pure class from winston Reid on the official website. Nobody forcing Reid to recognise the vast improvement he made and what made him the top quality defender he is today. The guy, like slaven is gentleman and a scholar of the highest order.

  6. Working oversea’s means this could be my last ever visit to the Boleyn so I REALLY need a win today – Now that Lanzini’s back I’m hoping Super Slav plays 4-2-3-1 with Lanzini – Payet – Antonio behind the striker … we seem so much better when we play that formation

    So excited for today 🙂

  7. Yes attack attack attack I like it. Moses on one wing Antonio on the other. Payet and Lanzini pulling the strings in the middle. Don’t let Sunderland have the ball until we are st least six nil up.

  8. I don’t believe FIFA can ever clean itself, because it is riddled with corruption from top to bottom: FIFA needs to be dissolved and a new one created which is accountable to a higher oversight body. If you agree, please sign the petition and pass it on: http://www.newfifanow.org/
