He might not have been everyone’s first choice as his short contract would indicate but slowly and surely he appears to be installing a more professional set-up at Rush Green.

I don’t want us to finish 17th but if that is where we did finish and there are signs that the team were moving in the right direction I would extend his contract, to be honest if we start well under him I would extend it by January so January transfers would know where they stand, this window with good players needing game time in advance of a World Cup is the best time to buy, clubs will see it as an easy way to get shot of their underperforming stars (as we may do) and we should look at it as a great way to pick up some of those from other clubs.
